I no it might sound stupid but

Make sure the db open and handles to the views are at the begining of the code and not in the loop. (I found this in a report I inherited and reduced the processing down from 1 hour to 5 minutes)

Are the views to the second form efficent. Are you getting to many docs in the getallbykey and in your code skipping over them? Would it be best to create a new hidden view to get the exact doc?
